Currently Reading

Hello everyone it's Nicole Henderson here and I wanted to update you guys on what I'm currently reading at the moment. The book is called A Step Toward Falling by Cammie McGovern. She is also the author of Say What You Will (which I have already read), and it was such an amazing read. And this book is just as fantastic. I love it so far, and a full review will be up sometime tomorrow.

The author has written books about people with disabilities because she actually works with them through a company she co-founded called "Whole Children." The characters are very realistic and she does an incredible job at portraying kids/young-adults with disabilities in the most realistic and authentic way possible.

This book is mainly about two teens, Emily and Lucas as they both witness an attack that has happened with another student Belinda (who happens to have learning and developmental disabilities). But both Lucas and Emily don't do anything. So as a result, they are sentenced to do community service and they volunteer at a learning centre for children with disabilities like Belinda. They both now feel that they should make a difference to not only help Belinda, but to also help other kids with special needs.
